It provides an extremely tough surface far superior to that of standard epoxy and acrylic urethane paints. Absolutely will not grow mildew, chemical resistant, highly chip resistant, very low V.O.C. plus will not harm indoor air quality once cured because it does not put off V.O.C's (volatile organic compounds). 

Dallas Bathtub Refinishing Process

The customer can be assured after 30 + years of personally refinishing bathtubs and tiles that the correct bathtub and tile refinishing process is being accomplished by Dallas bathtub refinishing. 

• I use a rotary stone to etch the old surface (no dangerous acids).
• I then chemically wash the surface so no residue is left behind.
• A chemical bonding agent is then wiped on called silane coupling agent. This is a bonding agent that is worked into the pores created through the etching process and integrates the new surface into the old surface Many quality silanes are available. I use the absolute highest quality 2 part silane that is mixed just before application with no dilution whatsoever.
  
• Any chips are then filled in with a polyester filler
• One more wipe down with silane coupling agent.
• 2 light coats of polyester coating are applied to not only help with bonding bonding but to also add impact resistance to reduce the chances of chipping in case something is dropped.
• This is followed by 7 coats of a glossy white polyester fluoropolymer coating that mimics the look and feel of porcelain.
• finished with a meltdown agent to increase the Gloss and provide a very smooth finish.
